chickens & Brakes

Chicken & Brakes is an educational science popularization book for children, featuring little chickens as the protagonist, introducing a types of car called Shooting Brake based on historical time line. This topic is based on my own hobbies. I have been curious about cars since I was young. At that time, I had a strong interest in cars in magazines and on TV.

My understanding of the principles of cars was told by my grandfather. I hope to create a book that systematically introduces children to automotive culture, so that they can have awareness of it or stimulate their interest.

I think drawing popular science children's picture books can help strengthen my ability to simplify and extract key points. The audience is children, and I want to showcase things from the works that they can accept and understand. If I become an illustrator for children's books in the future, this thesis project will be a great experience.
